so i just bought a transmission from this guy on craigslist. he said he traded an engine and another tranny for this tranny because it has 0 miles on it since a fresh rebuild with corvette servos and kevlar bands and everything. it came with what i believe is a stock converter but i will find out when i install it soon. The guy gave me his buisness card because he sells radiators..im sure if he was tryn to stiff me he wouldnt have given me his card and met me at his daughters job. Ill let everyone know how the swap goes.

Well, if it is what it says, that sounds like a pretty good transmission. Is it an a4?

Make sure when you install the Convertor that it is fully seated on the inputshaft and pump.
You need to spin and push it several times to make sure it drops all the way in.

well i picked it up and the guy says it has no miles since the build and has no fluid in it but when it tipped fluid came out..i took the pan off and everything was really clean. i emailed him to make sure it has no miles and he still says yes.
