i bought a transmission and i took off the pan to check everything out and there is no magnet inside the pan..its 700R4 tranny but idk what yr exactly. it came from a 2wd chevy truck but its been rebuilt with corvette servos and kevlar bands..

'''Vette servos and kevlar bands are a good thing Not sure what year they started putting magnets in. Maybe the pan's been switched out. I wouldn't worry about it though, they never used to have magnets in them. Good luck with your tranny. Dave
