Hello, nice forum you have here!
I just recently bought an 89 Firebird Pro Am II. I had never heard of them before until I stumbled onto this one. An older gentleman had it and babied it and took very good care of it. It's blue with black graphics at the bottom, t-tops, fake cowl hood, dual exhaust, wood grain interior and the pro am wheels. The car is in near perfect condition, the only problems I can find with it is the headlights have to be put down manually and it's missing one of the center pieces on the front wheel. The motor is spotless and doesn't leak, it has the 305 tbi and will roast em and get sideways when it hits second! lol very fun car! The best thing is I got it at an estate sale for 600 dollars! It has 132,000 miles on the odometer but runs and handles like it was new. I'll try to get some pics of it on here in the next day or two..... I think I'm in love...

The company that did the pro am was Chattanooga Customs, other than what they did it's stock as far as I know. The only thing thats been changed that I can tell is the radio, I changed that myself, I dont think I even own a cassette tape anymore lol.

Welcome to TFS. Thats a steal on that car! I know where one is in my area. It needs a complete restore but it's complete. And they did have the stock 170 hp TBI 305's in them. The same guy also has an 81 Formula with a nice interior. It needs exterior work but he said he might sell it to me.

Thanks, I can't get over how good of shape it's in. Like everyone else in the world I lost my job so I might be putting it up for sale or trade it for a fourth generation if I can find one. If anyone's interested gimme a hollar!

good lookin bird man! keep that thing well maintained!
Yea the pro-ams Ive just learned about recently, they made them 3 years. The pro am I was in the early 80's I believe, and the Pro-Am II was in 89, they also did a 1995 LT1 Pro-Am III, but I didnt much care for the looks of that one.
This 89 is cool as heck
Man were gettin a lot of new members!
