I have just a few questions about the ECM of my car. It's a 1995 model lt1 with the stock computer.

I've been talking to a sales person from PCMforless.com and had a few questions for you guys before I take it out and ship it off in the next few weeks if i choose to.

1.-How does it come out? It looks like 2 bolts hold it in and then im assuming it's pulled in as well. Is there anything i should be careful of/watch out for when im doing this?

2.-The other thing is it asks about that I want sure about is the rev limiter, and the options are "leave as is" or "remove"
do I really want to remove the rev limiter on an internally stock enigne? Is that a good idea?

3.-asks about a sticker color, but doesn't have a picture of what it looks like. does anybody have a picture of this sticker?

4.-has anybody had this done before? is it worth doing?

thanks
Tyler
Two 10mm bolts hold it in place. It lifts out pretty easy. The rev limiter should be set according to your mods. If you cam the car it needs to be set around 6700 rpm but no higher. If you use the stock cam I'd set it around 6100 rpm. I definitly would NOT remove it. The sticker is a decal they put on your ECM and once it's back in you'll never see it. I talked to Brian there and he did my tune. Compared to a hand held tuner I think it's a deal. Talk to brian and see what all he recommends based on your engine combo.

Don't get the +2 psi shift improvement. A buddy of mine did and had to rebuild a month later he had so much fun.

Yea my tranny is already way built up, and I have a lasting warranty on it so I might have them spruce it up a tad, but not +3...at least 1, maybe 2...

we'll see...Im excited to get the edge over my buddy's 94 TA (seen in the spring detail pics along side mine) cuz were basically neck and neck on the street, but I beat him in the 1/4 everytime we line 'em up...

But...
I need to win every time!!!!:D

this 15-20rwhp should help me out, along with new tires and SFC's...im excited...
