Ugh saturday was a trip. Wont bother with the pre stomp details but i had given sum change to an ungreatful bum and was just really grrrr for the whole day. So, was driving home and theres a spot where the freeway splits to become two different ones, i.e. one that stays going west and the other goes south. Anyways I was going up the ramp when i think i hear summin. Look back and i see this lil greyish gunmetal lookin car commin up and it passes me. Im just saying to myself "Oh don't tempt me son I just wanna stay out of trouble today" Yeah like that worked. I ended up creepin on him and passed him, not flooring it though just gradually. So after Im in front of him I hear him floor, doesn't sound tobad for a Honda I might say. I let him get bout half a car infront of me and I floor it just pullin on him. This happened twice and both time the guy just gave me a couple of dirty looks. Classico.

Lol i think it's hilarious how all S2000 owners think they own a race car. Yeah they're quick for what they are...but come on...

Well see thats the thing. I dont think any of us were looking for a race. I think he was just trying to be king of the road and not expecting any comp. for his throne. Oh well thats what happens when you got young aggravated blood with a V8. HAHA

Ya, they think because their dinky 4-banger is mounted at 90º they're tough stuff. Easy kills each time! burnout.gif

Our F-bodies are known as being "highway beasts" but if you take a stockish Formula versus stockish S2000 on a tight twisty backroad with not much room to stretch its legs the sport in the S2000 comes out and shines! Don't doubt it, this is one of the best front engine / rear-wheel drive naturally aspirated tight handling, fun, quick, well engineered sports cars around. I just wish I fit in them better, but they are not made for 6 foot or taller people. I drive a lot of stuff, and I must say I enjoy seat time in S2000 as much as anything, reagradless of $$$$$. The power it has is put down great in that 6-9K RPM range, it shifts like a dream, and the driver feels super connected.

It surely isn't a drag race or top end racer, but given the right road with a good driver(notice good, not great, or supreme...) the S2000 will beat most any direct competitor in the price range and many that cost much more.

All that said, there's still nothing like putting a smug import driver in his/her place when they attempt to challenge the great American V8 out on the great American highway. That's where our cars shine - good kill biggrin.gif

Funny you say that BBJ. I have raced Honda CBR 600's in the twisties and had to back out before I ran him over. He either did not know how to drive, or I had a lot more in it that day. I have a few friends here with a few tweaked s2000 and not had any trouble no matter what type of road. I do count them as good drivers, for here. I guess it comes to how hard you are willing to go for it.

I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS FOR ANYONE THAT IS NOT FULLY AWARE OF WHAT THEIR CAR WILL DO OR HAVE A CAGE AND HELMET.
