I have a 97 formula with an automatic tranny. When i turn either way at speeds above 15 mph i get a high pitched squeal from the rear of the car.I thought it might have been the brakes so i replaced them with new dealer pads and aftermarket rotors.still makes noise.is it possible for a wheel bearig to be going bad.The sound is just like when the wear sensor on a brake pads touches the rotor.also the dealer pads came with new hardware that was also replaced.

well that is weird but through deductive reasoning that sound should also be heard even while braking when approaching a red light, that is going straight of course. How many miles on your bird? Have you replaced the wheel bearings before? Any differential work done in the past? you fly your bird hard daily?

I would check and replace bearings as necessary. You will have to remove drain gear oil, remove diff cover, remove tires & calipers & rotors, remove c clips & pinion gear and then pull out your axle shafts. Check to see that they are straight too. The worse case might be that your actual differential is giving out. You have a posi with springs? New can be anywhere from 400-900 bucks, junkyards 100-200 bucks.
