Ok so my old turn signal lamp lenses were all cracked and falling apart sp obviously water was getting in their and blew my bulbs. So i look up getting new ones and yeah $45 bucks a pop I'm good on that, yeah I have the money but I'm not paying that for something i can make. With that said i went to Walmart and bought a plastci cereal container and a pair of heavy duty scissors. from there i went to autozone and bought super glue and plastic epoxy. Cut out the size of lenses from plastic cereal container and super glued and epoxied them together. Looks great and in my opinion better than the OEM mine are clearer and they omnly cost me about $12 overall. Call me crazy but hey whatever lol. It's not as bad as the time i had a ford tempo and blew a radiator hose and smashed a rock into the hole and then duct taped it and drove around for a week before i fixed it.

That's some quick thinking haha

could you put some pics up of the installed pieces? I am intrigued as to what it looks like cuz I want some clear signal lenses.

Hm yeah i got a digital camera i'll have to take them out and get some pics and some pics of it installed. The only hard part was keeping the super glue from making that vapor like haze arou nd the edges which you can scrub off. Also if you have completely clear lenses like what i got now you can see the bulb it doesnt lite up the whole thing so probably a good idea to look into chrome bulbs or maybe even put a reflective coating or something behind the bulb. Still working on ways to perfect it myself but I've had lots of "wow are you serious but hey that looks sweet" comments. Guess the idea of making something out of a cereal container blows peoples minds lol. What i have now I'm happy with just thinking of different materials i can use to create a crystal clear lense and then something for a reflective back coating behind the bulb in the housing. cant imgaine a color besides amber though since the side markers are amber but looking for ideas on colors and effects as well. nothing flashy just innovative cuz a trans am aint no ricer.

I have some tape I think that you use for heating ducts, but it is chrome on one side. Look into that and put it on the back part behind the bulb, that way it should reflect more.
