I've narrowed down my next exhaust purchase to one of these two. If anyone has any experience with both of these and can offer an opinion, I'd like to hear it.

What I really want to know is which one sounds better. Also, which one will provide the most noticeable difference over a stock setup.

I've already figured that the magnaflow will most likely hold up better, being it's a stainless kit. But it's also more expensive, and going with the Hooker Exhaust will save me about $100.

Thanks.

Personally, I'd go with the Magnaflow. The extra money for stainless would pay off in the long run. Hooker has been around since the 60's, but Magnaflow has a good reputation and sound. Just my opinion. Dave.

I really like the Magnaflow.

The Hooker sounds nice, but the MF has a great tone, Plus, if you do long tubes anda ORY, that thing will sound AMAZING.

And I'm not sure about that price difference. Most places have the Hooker for 350-ish it seems, while I've seen the MF for 390, shipped. MarylandSped has great priceson it. For only 40 bucks more, the stainless MF seems like a no-brainer.

You just have to shop around, you might even be able to get it cheaper than that even.

I guess shopping around would seem like the best thing to do atm. I've seen the Hooker setup for $299. And the cheapest I've found the Magnaflow is $400. But I probably need to look around a little more.

Paying a little extra for the stainless Magnaflow is what I'm leaning toward though...

Hi Don, i have the MF and i love the deep tone on it, i'm in the process of getting the longtubes and y-pipe, heard that it really wakes up the sound. also love the fact that there is no inside "drone" from the MF, and the sound when you open up at full throttle is when it really comes to life.

i paid $330.00 for my stainless MF through Ebay, the price the company had listed was $407.00 and some change, but the ad said call and they would lower the price. oh and shipping was free. hope this helps out.

I've definitely made my mind up, and am going with a Magnaflow Cat-back. $407.00 seems to be the popular price for one. Do you remember what the name of the company on ebay was?

Don, i checked the box that came with my exhaust, he has an ebay store, but he also has another
store...

when i was on his ebay store, i called the number given because it lists "make an offer on the part you want to purchase", so i called and talked with the guy Brad, he's the one that changed the price from 407.41 to around the 330.00 mark. i'll have to find my bill of sale for the exact price but it was like a 80.00 savings. the shipping is free and i got my exhaust around the 5-7 business day through UPS. completly stainless all the way down to the u bolts. i laid it out on the floor of the garage and took some pics. for me the deep tone is awesome, alot of cars mistake my car for the v6 Firebird cause i have a Formula, taken alot of people by surprise.
