Hi again need more help !! As you guys might know I have the 97 Convert TA. I want to upgrade the sound without changing the head unit. Everybody talks on here about the Monsoon system and the 10 speakers but I don't think mine has that. I can only find 6, A speaker and a tweater in each front door and two round, I think about 6.5" ones, in the back seat. I have a single disk CD player, with an equlizer and clock, but I don't see Delco or Monsoon marked on it at all. If I turn the balance all to the back speakers I can still here the sound not just base. But Quite frankly the system sounds like crap. And thats with the roof up !! What do I need to do. I'm getting front speakers changed this week to JL's. Not sure which ones but they cost $250.00 so I guess they are good. Need some advice on what it is I have and how to make it sound better !!! Help !!

The monsoon head unit is 500 watts and it will say Pontiac Monsoon on it. The mosoon speaker system consists of : 2 small tweaters and 2 midrange speakers in each door, 2 subs on the sail panels, and 2 midrange and 2 tweaters in the hatch area. This is of course on the coupe models. I believe verts are set up different but not sure how. Perhaps someone else can chime in? Dave
