Well you all saw pictures of the C6 convertible I bought last year. Well I couldn't leave things alone (like usual). I decided to install a Procharger. Here is the car getting ready for the install.

By far the hardest part of the install was pinning the crank. The LS2 balancer didn't come keyed to the crank. To do this you have to dissassemble the front suspension, lift the steering rack and lower the full x-member. the place you pin is right under the steering rack.

Anew radiator cradle is supplied, and you mount the intercooler to it.

Here is the procharger unit and the blow off valve installed.

I had to upgrade the fuel system. I installed FAST 57lb injectors, a MSD Fuel Pump Booster with Racetronix harness.

Here it is almost finished.

I got it dynoed, and it only managed a little under 3lbs's of boost. With that boost I managed 460 hp and 450tq at the wheels. I talked to the people at Procharger and they recommended a smaller pulley (from 4.63" to 4"). this should get me about 6-7lb and over 500hp to the wheels. the pulley is on the way. I'll update.

Awesome man! You make it look as simple as changing the oil in those pics haha...

3lbs of boost? Thats it? I would have called them too!

It'll be interesting to see what your final outcome is, and I wonder how she'll do in the 1/4!

congrats on yur newly beefed up toy!

Well they UPS guy dropped off the pulley, and a pillar pod (boost, and A/F gauges). If I get them installed by Saturday morning, I should be able to get the tune checked. And MasterTomos it was pretty easy. procharger sends a killer installation guide. It's a book, step by step instructions (with pictures). Between that and all the research I did it only took me two 6 hour days (by myself).

not bad at all. 12 hours huh? according to GM plugs and wires takes 11 hours on an LT1 so thats time well spent i think! biggrin.gif

Yea changing the plugs on my TA takes almost as long, especially the last two on the passenger side. The instruction manual that procharger sent says it took two of their mechanics 4 hours to do the install. It's all about practice I guess.

Anytime you do something a couple times you get a lot faster at it. You could do the next one a few hours faster probably. I bet your car is a screaming beast after this!

Didn't get a chance to replace the pulley. The local Covette club had a run planned for Mothers day (Taos Mothers day festival). I didn't want to disable my car. And even at three pounds of boost it's a beast. Hurray for the GM cars, my Vette is officially faster than my Cobra now. I'll work on it this week.
