So I spoke with a friend of mine monday that is a retired autoworker. Told him I checked out a new Camaro at the local dealership, very impresive btw! He told me that the v-8 version had been recalled for a problem. Idk if anyone else on here has heard that, but I hope if so GM gets it ironed out soon and gets them out there. I really think that this ''Stang/ Challenger killer is going to sell real well, and if so hopefully keep the 2nd Muscle Car era alive, and help out GM in the process! Anyone's thoughts on this ? Also I checked out a G8 6.0 v-8. cool sleeper , but still a 4 dr. sedan (not a true sports car). $32 Grand. Let me see... G8 or Camaro? A no brainer in my book. Dave

funny that the sleeper G8 GXP's run 13.0 in the 1/4 mile...the same exact time as the 2010 Camaro SS...hmmmm

same price, same 426hp motor, rwd, except one if 4 door and one is 2...doesn't seem right.

The G8 GXP is a GMPD (General Motors Performance Division) car the SS Camaro is regular prodction.
The 550+ HP Z28 was going to be the GMPD for the Camaro. Chances are slim that this car will get built though.

I haven't heard anything about recalls but I saw one heading the other direction on the highway the other day. There was a newer Mustang creeping up in my rearview mirror that I had been keeping an eye on. Once the Camaro passed, I stopped gazing at the Mustang.
