I have a 97 formula and my heat and a/c don't work. The blower motor works fine. I checked the HVAC fuse and its fine. Is there another fuse somewere?
Could this be 2 seperate problems. Could my switch panel be bad? I was told at one time the heator core was pluged. I had it flushed and it worked after that but it no longer works. When i turn on the a/c i can here it come on but it does not blow cold. If anyone has suggestions that would be great. Thanks

Welcome to the Source. Please stop in the new member's section and tell us about yourself.

Have you have the freon level checked yet? Sounds to me that it is low. Why do you think the heater core is not working? Does it not blow hot air out?

I have not had the freon checked yet. What type of freon does this take. I think there are do it your self kits to charge it. The heat blows cold. every now and then its a little warm, but not like it should.

Just looked at it again. Compressor clutch is not engaging. All fuses are ok. could the relay under the hood be bad? On the heat issue, there is a little
fluid coming out of the heat vent on the floor. It is not sticky nor does it smell. Could this just be condensation?

I would doubt it could be condensation if the heat isn't heating or the AC isn't cooling, nothing there to make condensation. If the freon is low the compressor clutch won't engage and I'm thinking you still have some kind of blockage in the heater core. That easy enough to check. Pull the cover from over the heater core, water is aways circulating in it. If it's cold it's blocked, if it's hot it's not.

With a 97 model, you can charge it yourself with a R-34a kit. The reason I would let a shop do it, they can test the system and make sure nothing else is wrong with the A/C.

The heat, I agree with BrdWAtti2d.
