i found a local guy selling what was a 95 trans am. now its has an ls1 w 80 k miles from his previous 2001 ws6 car. it has a t56 trans he bout for the swap. he said he pulled the motor cuz his 02 was gettn ripples in the rear quearter panels from the power. the motor is modded he said. so he gutted the 02 and swapped to the 95. he was planning on a cage and everything for a race car from what he said. it has the whole front end 02 clip on it and c6 vetter wheels. he dropped the price to 3995 this morning. the engine wont run because he hasnt hooked up the engine harness yet since he was gunna convert to carbeurated for "extra power". so im stuck in a bind here. either buy this car for 3500 or so w cash and swap the engine and tranny to my car and sell the chassis. OR spend 4k on my 91 formy to get a rebuilt stock L98 .what should i do?

Just my $.02 but I wouldn't get involved in somone elses botched project. FWIW I have dimples in my quarters also and I'm in pretty much stock power.

Also Why would it cost $4k for a rebuilt stock L98 You can have your existing engine redone for far less and have mods done to it for better power.

i heard those conversions get messy.....now you have $.04 haha, but he hasnt hooked up the harness yet maybe cuz it isnt the same, and carbuerated for more power? is it the LS 1? and unless he changed the front quarter panels too, that 02 nose isnt gonna fit the 95 trans am....not to mention lights, clips, etc....

^ The LS1 harness is totally different, including the PCM. You'd be buying someone else's failed project. Basically a pile unrelated of parts.

I was just re-reading this and it seems this guy who is selling the car has no idea what he is doing...I would not spend your money on that, fix your car
