I'm getting rims for my screaming chicken here soon and I'm not too good with shoe sizes, hah. So some help would be nice.

The front rims are 17 x 9.5 (offset +54mm, backspace 7.37) and rear 18 x 10.5. (offset +58mm, backspace 8.02) 5 lug. Anywho...I'm looking for some meaty tires that won't rub my fender wells or cause problems during cornering.....not like formy 1 cornering or anything...just y'know =) Thx in advance

275/40/17 fronts 295/35/18's rear

Judging by the sizes you must be getting Vette rims right ?
anyway both offsets are a tad big IMO (I would try and stay closer to 50mm) but they should work. The rears wheels may contact the bumpstop mount wnen in full jounce so be carefull.
You may also want to get an Adjustable Panhard bar becase these cars tend to have the rearends set closer to the drivers side the adj. panhard will recenter the rear and add clearence for the larger wheels.

Thx, and yea they are the z06 motorsport rims with the black chrome finish. Thx again and I'll look into that adj. pan rod.

I went with that size on my TA, and had to trim off the bump stop. It wasn't hitting, but it was close. It would hit if I hit a bump on a hard curve. Also I'm not sure if the LT1 Firebirds are as picky about size of tire. When I got mine I wanted a big rear and small front combo. Well the computer didn't like it and started sending me ABS out, no traction control codes. I had to replace the rears with a size closer to the front tires. Anyways here is a pic.

Yeah when you do a staggered setup you need to keep overall diameter of both tires within a couple .100
My fronts are 245/4018's and my rears are 275/35/18's, with 25.7 and 25.6 diameters respectively

These are the sizes I am running on my deep dish C6 Z06 replicas.

I found out the hard way. I still have a brand new (100 miles) set of 18's in my garage.
