So I rebuilt and cammed the engine and installed a kevlar clutch, added the fiberglass replacement wrap-around spoiler I got on ebay, welded in my sub-frame connectors on my 87 Formula, and all I need is a fresh paint-job. Problem is...I can't nail down the exact paint code, as my RPO sticker was missing when I bought the car. The original was a fairly identifiable medium blue metallic that I've seen on a lot of 3rd gens. So far I've narrowed it down to either WA8751/code#23,WA7349/code#29, or WA7470/code#21, through what research I've been able to do online, but if I had a visual of any of these paints on a car, I'd know it in an instant. That's the problem...noting I've been able to look up shows anything but numbers, or mentions what models the paints are common on or anything. Anyone got any identifiable photos of any of these known paint codes on a car? I just bought a new spray gun today, and I'm getting an itchy trigger finger!

You should be able to take the VIN to the local dealer and they should be able to look it up for you.

I wasn't sure even they could do it just from the VIN code...or if they will. Maybe I'll give that a try. I've been meaning to take a picture(some of the original paint is still visible under where my buddy primered the car before I got it from him), and see if the color was recognizable to anyone on here more familiar with such things. Thanks though for the info...got no other responses at all.
