So I took off my intake pipe (picture below) and noticed that the pipe had crack on it..so I was wondering it that could be the reason for the car to hesitate under high throttle?
Also could I just cut that part off and block it completely?or theres a purpose for it to be that long?I mean because theres no place for air to go through..its just blocked..

It can make the car run bad. Air gets sucked in there and is not measured by the MAF sensor. The tube can be removed since it is only there to quiet the intake noise. You can buy a plug to fit the hole or buy a new elbow that is already made w/o the tube. Either way it needs to be fixed.

You could get a deodorant lid, wrap electrical tape around it and silicone it in place. works pretty good.

i found a bottle of turtle wax liquid clay bar at big lots and used that lid and a hose clamp in place of the donkey dong...
