hey guys i want to get new wheels and tires. i have the stock alloy abs 5 spoke wheels on my car. and the tires say 225/45 r16. ive been looking at a few wheels and tire combos online. alot of the wheels recomnded tire sizes are 245/55 r16 or bigger im just wondering what will fit on my car without any problems i know too wide can be bad i guess. so if somebody could let me know what they have on their cars and what will fit and be a bit wider than what i have without problems that would be great. thanks. 94 formula.

the biggest and best looking (in my opinion) wheels you should run would be 9.5 by 17's...(17 inch rim, 9.5 inches wide) That's what ws6 and ss cars run. You'd need a 275/40/17 tire to put on it which are a pretty easy to find tire online...if you do this combo, you'll have a lot of options.

A few of the common options are American Racing torq thrusts and C4 Corvette ZR1/4th gen SS style 5 spokes which both look really good.

There are literally hundreds of possible wheel tire combinations available for an F-body.
But there are a few things to keep in mind for proper fitment.
The stock wheels for F-bodies are
16x8 w/56mm offset
17x9 w/50mm offset

You need to keep offsets within 35-55 mm depending on wheel widths.
The larger the wheel width the less offset is needed (for example check sizes above)

As wheel diameter increases tire aspect ratio decreases to maintain the same overall diameter and keep the speedo correct.
example
17x9 = 275/40/17
18x9 = 275/35/18

Bolt pattern is 5x120.65 but 5x120 will work but requires hubcentric rings.
