Does anyone know where I can find a LOCKING gas cap for my 1998 Trans Am? No one seems to make one, so I had to find one that has the right diameter and modify it with a hot knife. However, the gasket is going so I should maybe get a new one.

Check any aftermarket auto parts store, Autozone, Murray's/ O'Reily's,etc... Have them look it up in the computer. I have one on my 2000 Formy and all my other vehicles. No, there not foolproof, but it gives me the piece of mind that some slimeball isn't going to be sugaring my gas, at least not without a hassle.! they'll move on to easier prey. Dave.

I have had mine since she was new. Got the cap from Pep Boys, I think.
