Back when I was going thru my divorce my car sat in the basement disassembled for nearly a year. The Optispark sat on the floor the whole time. Once I had everything done I resumed the cam installation and finished the car up. Then it had a miss at higher rpm's. I checked everything I knew that could cause it and concluded the it must be the Opti. So,I had a day off work today and I put a new one in the car. Does not seem so bad now having had this off a few times already. After I finished I took it for a test drive and the miss is gone! Yippie! I only ran it thru the gears once but it ran strong. I'm thinking I may take it to the track next friday if it's cooler out. The old Opti never got wet but sitting on a damp basement floor for a while is all it takes.

Wow, bizarre. Was it sitting with the cap on? Glad to hear you got it all worked out.
