I can't turn my CD player/radio off. The switch is one of those you push for on and off. For the longest time, I've just been leaving it on, but every now and then, I have to take the battery off and figure out some way to mash it in enough crazy ways to get it to turn back on, which usually takes hours. Does anyone have any idea how to fix this switch?
It's a 1998 TransAm with single CD player/AM/FM.

It would probably be easier and cheaper just to replace the unit with a good used one out of the junkyard. Or perhaps this might be a good time to upgrade with a more powerful aftermarket stereo
