Yea, those are probably right around the fastest times. But just like any other motor or car, you can't expect nearly all of them to run like that. I see a lot of LS1 fbodys running high 13's at the track consistently. My buddy's 2000 camaro SS with a vortech supercharger runs mid 12's consistently

(yes, you read that right), but if you look online you can find some LS1 fbodies that run low 12's and some even claim very high 11's!!! Many LT1 cars don't or just barely break 14 even with a few bolt ons. Mine ran 13.6 with cai, rr's, exhaust, and bald tires. Plus when a motor is rated at say 426hp, that's one of the least powerful motors in the group of motors. Some make more, others, not as much. Motors are not precision built identical everytime.
Basically, what I'm trying to get across is that all cars are not created equal, I'm sure 12.80 is the record, just don't expect every 2010 SS to be a 12 second car.
