Full Version: CETA mod
The Formula Forums > Technical Area > Exterior

So today I finally gathered up the courage and did the CETA mod on my T/A (I know it's not a popular thing to see on this forums since many of you are formula guys haha!) Anyways, I took my time and prepped it perfectly, and the end result is fantastic. I took pics along the way, so i'll put up just a few pics so you guys can see. Started at noon, sanded down the paint with 320 grit paper, then washed the surface with dawn and water. Next, I dried it with a lint-free towel and jacked up the rear as high as I could get it. From there, I masked off the area I wanted to paint (this took the most work), and then covered the rest of the car from any overspray. Then, I sprayed a nice thin layer of primer down..followed by a few more coats. Then I wet-sanded that down with some 1000 grit paper, and started to paint the surface with semi-gloss black. Did as many layers as I could with 1 can. Here are some pics!

I wish I did this mod sooner...it goes awesome with the red/black theme i've got going on. Now I can honestly say that I am pretty much done with the exterior of the car..nothing else on my "to do" list. biggrin.gif

Nice work man, that looks great. Wish I could say my to-do list was chopped down, I don't think that's ever gonna happen.
