So I've been wanting to go on a vacation for awhile now...but I'm holding off til the summer for monetary reasons. That gives me a little bit of time to plan where when and why. Does anyone wanna put in their $0.02 in on good places to go? I'm from a small town in Indiana, so just about anything is a vacation for me.

About all I'm looking for are good cities, beaches optional. A good car scene would definitely do it for me.

I would say Gatlinburg,TN during one of the big cruise-ins.

Take a cruise, western Caribbean. Seriously the best bang for the buck and they are running some incredible deals right now. I'm assuming you are a single guy, lots of single women onboard.

If your a real Car guy you can't do better then hanging out on Woodward Ave. during the few weeks before the Dream Cruise. Thousands of Cars and people congregate along Woodward (on the weekends) for a few months prior to the Dream Cruise. But the week of the cruise is incredible as it's basically Curb to Curb Classics, Exotics and Muscle Cars.

My last trip I went to NYC for a week, and I've gotta say it was one of the most fun trips i've ever taken. There is SO much to do and see there, and occasionally you'll see some expensive cars driving around. I saw an orange Murcielago..drove right through Times Square. I also saw a Maybach, those are nice!

About a month ago my wife and I rented a cabin in the wooded hills of southeastern Ohio. Sometimes it's nice to just kick back and get away from everything/everbody for a while. biggrin.gif

This, or just the mountains of TN. in general. Lots of fun roads to drive on too and if you take the right route down there you could stop in at the Corvette museum and factory in Bowling Green, KY.

If you like hot weather, I get to west coast of Florida whenever I get the chance, Tampa, Sarasota area.
