My formula was running fine when i opened it up on the highway floated the headers and burned oil for a little while.....the car died on me at the light and i got started enough to get back home....i changed the fuel filter and the car ran fine.....then when it started to get colder outside(65-75) the car would have a hard time starting....yesterday i finally got it started and the car died on me....fuel pressure is 44 and drops to 41 when i try to start it....any helpfull inquiries would be greatly appreciated....thinking maybe the opti??????????

Opt is alwys the first suspect......i had exact same problem with my '94......after changing opti, plugs, wires , fuel pump, ecm, boiled gas tank, fuel filter, i found two frayed wires on harness...probably chewed by mice during winter storage...car runs perfectly now....

how much was the pcm??(ecm) and did you have to re program it??? The car turns over and then it will try to start, burp alittle( you can hear and feel the pistons moving and trying to start up, fumbles and then nothing...........i have good fuel pressure and bought the opti and distributor as a complete package and bolted it on, changed the fuel filter....will the pcm cause this and it also threw a TPS fault also???

Are there codes tripped now? Have you scanned it to see? Also, try unplugging the MAF sensor and see if it will start.
