okay..i changed the battery in my keyless antry remote for my 96 trans am. now it wont work at all..so i looked up on google how to reprogram it and i did what it says..turn ket to off..take out radio fuse..cyle key position from off to on 3 times..door locks will lock then unlock drivers side..it did that..but it also says to hold the lock and unlock buttons at the same time for 16 seconds and the locks cycle again and then its programmed..but when i hold the buttons it does absoulutely nothin..anyone have an idea?

take a paperclip and bend it. Thats what I used for a jumper wire Find the DLC (Data Link Connector) box under the steering wheel. Put one end in terminal "A" and the other in terminal "G'. The doors will lock then unlock. Press any button on your keyless remote. The doors should lock then unlock again. Now the remote is programmed.
