I am new to the forums. I just picked up a 1991 Formula from a guy locally here in Indy. Its in the process of a 305 to 350 TBI swap. I wanted to post up and show you all my 1995 Mazda RX-7 that I swapped a 2000LS1 and T56 into in 2007/2008. I got all the mounting parts from Hinson Super Cars in Alabama. The engine/trans are a complete pull out from a 2000 ws6 w/ 45k miles. I did all the work myself (aside from the exhaust I had a shop build that). The car runs great and is fun to drive.

I had a 1988 Formula in high school so I couldnt pass up the 1991 formula I got on craigslist for a trade. I just have to finish bolting the engine in, attach the wiring harness, and put fluids in it and it will be on the road. Im going to repaint it shortly after that.

Glad to be back in the f-bodys. My goal with my formula is to just have it to drive around and have fun with.

Welcome to the source! LS1/RX7 swap, never heard of that one but it looks like it turned out well. Talk about the ultimate sleeper!

SHe will look good with a fresh coat of paint.

I was looking on the Galleries by year the other day and looked at the picture that is representing the 1988 category and its a picture I took of my car when I was in high school. i have no idea how it got here, but I think its pretty neat to see that someone found that picture and posted it here. I had lost all my old pictures of that car so its nice to have one again!

There was a cruise-in one Main St. a while back and someone had an LS1 powered Miata. Thats crazy! And I like it.

yeah LS swaps are getting popular these days. I have seen all generations of RX-7s swapped, Miata, 350z, 240z, S2000, BMW M3.... all swapped with LS based engines.

I'll be in your town 2/20/10 for the Supercross. You ever go to that?
