hello all, new to the site but not new to cars, this is my only hobby. anyway today i got tired of driving around with no bass so i picked up some carpet and screws and had everything else. this ones a lil different i know thay make a stealth box but i think thous sound funny and are to small i only had one 10 from my old car and still wanted to keep storage space so i built this set up. i still need a grill for the sub to match the speaker grills in the car but here it is now.

how it looked when i started

and hers the box i built to take up that deep hole in the back of this thing

and to block off that other hole and give me somwere to mount my amp

and all put together and sounden great

not bad for the $10 i have invested biggrin.gif and yes it sounds amazing i couldent be happyer........................................unless i had a new sub to drop in their

Looks pretty nice for a "homemade" system! First time I've seen a box designed to fill that hole on non t-top cars. Good job!

Any plans on adding a second 10" for the other side?

Check mine out (click the picture for more pics).

i dont think ill add another sub, ill proble put a better sub in that place, i love the way my system sounds right now its very well balenced all the cars iv had in the past have ether not had enuf base or to much base. i am missing the cargo cover and would like to find one to replace it, do u have a pic of it installed?

i almost want to do the same thing because of looks. its strange tho i have a 12 mounted in a ported box with port and sub facing the same direction and i found that the loudest setup is to have the sub and port sideways facing the opening on the opposite side of the spare tire well. with the sub facing into that well or what not it seem to produce louder and clearer bass, i was surprised because most people say sub facing up towards the glass is the loudest..try it out someday.

Looks good! Any reason you didn't just put the sub in the cutout where you put the amp and mount the amp in the tub? Fwiw it's possible to run 4 10" subs in a T-Top car and still have storage room for the t-tops in the back. I'm new and don't know how to post pics but if anyone wants proof I'll go snap some pics and figure out how to post 'em!

It looks real good. I may have mounted the amp on the bottom side of the speaker board so it would be out of sight. I have an MTX amp and a 12" sub & box all under the rear panel cover so you cant see it.
