Hello from NC with a 1988 Formula Firebird with 305 TBI that i just recently bought to work on since my first pontiac was a 1988 Formula that was red and silver and for my senior project re vamped the interior!! But being young and dumb traded it for a 94 camaro which after i drove off the lot figured out how bad i screwed up!! Well I could not find my car for sale anywhere and i was looking hoping it was still around but never did!! So to make up for the camaro mistake i traded it for a 2000 Ram Air Trans Am so i more than made up for my mistake!!

So I have both of these cars that need some TLC the ram air was not in mint condition when i bought it which is probably the only reason i could have afforded one at the time but now she is paid for and in my name so cant anyone take it from me!! unless the insurance place does for some mishap which i hope is not forthcoming!! But I was thinking about converting to a TPI on the 88 and getting rid of the teardrop hood and getting a t/a hood to go on it!! Anyone have any suggestions on where to find a good TPI to get rebuilt or that runs pretty good!! The 305 that is in it i feel would not last to long as it smokes more than an old Norfolk Steam Engin!!

Welcome to the Source!! I would watch eBay for a TPI. That is where I found mine. You may also check out junk yards and places on the web like TA Creations.
