Just some general info for those who might have a problem with their drivers side power window. I was going to work and had to open my window to show my ID. Then my window would not go back up(21* outside). I also had to drive home with the window down which was an hour drive in 33* weather, anyway I went out to troubleshoot the window because I have never had any problem with either window. My passenger side still worked fine. When I pushed down to make the window go up I let off very easily and I heard a noise coming from under the dash. I got to looking and found a small black box with wires going into it directly behind the radio against the firewall. I removed it to find out it was the power window relay which GM does not make anymore. I found a junk yard and found a 97 Camaro that had one of these relays still in it. Since I have a 94 FBIRD T/A and most parts for 93-97 firebirds, trans ams, camaros can be swapped I tried this part and it worked. I was able to finally get the window up. I thought I was gonna have to buy a motor for it. It saved me anywhere from $50-150 bucks. Hopefully this helps someone who has or will have this problem.

Interesting comment. I replaced the motors on both doors in my '93 for the 4th time in 6 years. This one lasted less than a year. The last time I went all out and put a separate relay on the up and down circuit on both doors to ensure that full voltage/current is getting to the motor. Windows moved like a champ until a week ago and the driver's side didn't want to go back up.

I don't think the relay has anything to do with mine anymore since I have 2 on each door (under the dash.) But, again, worth checking.

Thanks!!
