Any suggestions?

I'd really appreciate the help, THANKS! gears.gif

One of the best things you can do is change all the oils over to synthetic. Motor, tranny,& rear end. It's a dyno proven 10 hp.

Tyler, sorry to hijack the post but isn't the jury still out on wether synthetic trans fluid causes slippage in our cars? Dave

I can see that if one was not in good condition it could slip. But,they make the synthetic ATF for a reason. If you have a healthy tranny I cant see how it will damage it.

My thoughts exactly. This subject came up last week to the contrary. The synthetics today are far superior to conventional in many ways as I have stated before. I am getting ready to drain the GM gear lube out of my Bird's rear end and install Amsoil lubricant with the Amsoil additive , and the next step will be changing over to Dextron VI in the trans. I have used Mobil- 1 exended in the engine since I've had the car. IMO synthetics are the only way to go if you want your car to last. Dave

Exactly, Your gaskets were allready on their way out before you put the synthetics in. Leakage used to be a problem years ago when synthetics first came out, but no longer so. If your gaskets are in good shape, they are no more prone to leaking out with synthetics than with conventional fluids. Dave
