ok, back to the grind....
the idle on my car started goin crazy on me...got a 95 formula stock, manual, 109k mileage
at idle, in neutral, it usually sits at around 800 rpms, then after i replaced my starter, it started surging, it drops down to just a hair under 500 and then sits there and acts like its about to turn off (the dash lights even get dim when theyre on)
it takes a few revs of the gas pedal to get it to clear up, but then when i take off and get to a complete stop in neutral, it does it again...
any thoughts on what it might be?
also, when i take off, i have to keep the rpm's a bit high otherwise the car feels like its gonna die for a second then has a really slow take off, i used to drive a 4cyl standard and if i dumped the clutch, it took off fine
someone told me the distributor might need to be changed, if it does, does the dist come with a cap and rotor kit as well or is that to be purchased seperatly?
someone else told me that it might be a sensor, the check engine light is on and a tech said the MAF sensor and Knock sensor codes came out, would that have anything to do with it?
