95 6 Speed Formula
I was wondering what the ws9 package. and help would be great.

WS9 is listed as the Formula conversion Pkg. But since all 4th Generation V8 Firebirds carry this RPO it does not mean the car is a Formula, it designates the car as being V8 equipped. W66 is the Formula Merchandise Pkg and Y82 is the Trans Am Merchandise Pkg. Either of these must be present to identify the model.

WS9 + W66 = Formula
WS9 + Y82 = Trans Am
95 6 Speed Formula
Thanks i just bought the car and it does have the w66 and the ws9. Is there anything special about that package?

No, All V8 equipped 4th Generation Firebirds carry the WS9 RPO.
The differences between a V8 car and a std V6 car are not just in the engine though.
Suspension, Cooling system, Brakes, Transmissions and rearends are some of the differences.

Craig I agree with all of the above, but wondering about the rearends in our cars. I thought that other than different gear ratios and limited slip that the v8 and v6 were all the same breed of 10 bolt crap? Dave
