Sorry for this question, but was wondering what batteries are you all running for the second generation Firebirds/TA's. Man I totally ignored my bird this winter and I feel bad for it being outside all winter long. I did have it covered up by a good car cover. The other thing I feel terrible about it that it only had 3/8 of a tank of gas in it while it was sitting out side. I know I should be grounded for doing this. Any suggestions on batteries would be greatly appreciated. Not sure if I should use the AC Delco battery or go with something totally different.

IMO you can't beat the optima red top. A bit pricey, but you . Daveget what you pay for. Lasts 2-3 times as long as the competition and is very vibration resistant. For winter storage you should top off the tank, add Stabil and hook up a good battery maintenance charger like a Deltron Battery Tender

Yeah, I know. I feel bad that I didn't do any of that. I don't know why I did that cause I'm usually on top of things when it come to cars for winter storage. Just got lazy.

Well I may have gotten lucky. I brought the battery home (the car is in storage) and the battery charged right up. I have the battery on the tender right now to see if it holds a charge. I will reply back to let everyone know if the battery is still good.

Throw in another $40-50 and you can have the Optima Red Top. biggrin.gif
