Well it's been way too long since I've been on the forum, a lot on my plate with work and school.
My car got hit in the parking lot where I work, no decency to leave a note or anything. Bashed my left front fender, the left front of my bumper, and pushed it all into my door. After climbing through the passenger seat for three days, I decided to pull it apart and check the damage. Luckily for me, there was only a bent bracket, but the integrity of the plastic is gone. I bent it straight again but the plastic is warped.
I got the car tuned at Carolina Auto Masters.
First run the car maxed power at 259.5 max torque 295.2
He tuned it up to 300 hp, but the car was running way lean.
On the third pull he tuned the transmission shift points and it maxed power at 267.9 max torque 301.2.
Those numbers may seem low but he tuned it so that instead of an arc reaching up to 267hp, it is more a straight line from shift to shift.
I think it may be an annual thing that my distributor goes out. Well we took it apart and found oil in it, causing miss fires. I sent off my MSD distributor because it was still under warranty and I just got it back. My dad and I figured if we are going to have the front end of the motor off, why not go all the way?
I just bought a Comp Cam Xtreme Energy 276HR-14 Hydraulic Roller Camshaft with: Lift: .510''/.510''Duration: 276°/290°RPM Range: 1500-5500 rpm and Aluminum Roller Rocker Arms 1.5 Ratio 3/8 Stud from Jegs. With those rockers I need taller valve covers so I picked up a pair of brushed aluminum ones for about $20.
The stuff should be here by tomorrow and I can't wait to get started. I'll keep everyone updated

Sorry to hear about the hit and run, seems like some people don't want to take responsibility for their own actions nowadays. Anyway, welcome back and good luck with the mods. Dave

Well, IT STARTED!!!! haha we fired it off a few times today, got everything lubed up, gotta put the water pump on, adjust the rocker arms one more time, get fluids in and all we need is a tune.
I've got pics documenting the entire project, kind of play by play, I'll get those up this weekend. All in all not too terrible a job, the cam was the easiest thing, just keeping everything in time was the only cautious thing. I cant wait to get it on the road!!!

Nice dude! Yeah it's been a while since i've posted up on here, i'll have to work on that more. Been REAL busy as well. Anyways, congrats about all the work getting done to your car! I got my car tuned at CAM too, he did the same thing for me. Tuned it for less hp but the power line was straight. Don't really know what that means to me when i'm driving around to be honest, but i take the advice from Jeff that it's better haha! Put up a video of that thing cammin!!

Will Do man, i want to get it retuned first, and get it washed since right now it is a yellow trans am from all this friggin pollen. Jeff knows his stuff and I agree, if he says its better, its better.
I gotta get the pics up for the install but a video is definite in the near future!
