Alright, so this project got put on hold for a while but now I believe I'm ready to get started. Currently my 1977 Firebird base coupe has the (Chevy) 305U factory installed motor package with the 3 speed automatic trans.

Just got my hands on a Pontiac 400 block, and need help with a buildup sheet if anyone has one? It is just the block, no crankshaft, nothing.
I was hoping to also get a 700R4/4L60 transmission to go with it but not sure if it will bolt up?

I guess what I need to know is, what problems will I have trying to install and what hardware (Engine mounts, etc.) will be needed?

Thanks for any help, I know it's a lot of questions.

Nothing from the smallblock will transfer over to the Pontiac.
You essntially will need another doner Pontiac engine to get the rest of the engine parts (heads, valve covers, timing cover, valley pan, etc....) the 700R4 would need an adapterplate to bolt up to the engine as the bolt pattern is different or just get a BOP pattern turbo 400. and all the fuel lines and wire harness will need to ne altered aswell.
