The acceleration is somewhat "draggin" till 20mph and over where it becomes smooth. two nights ago she stalled on me when i turned the corner and stepped on the gas pedal halfway down. also if i give it too much it jerks and theres a loud "thud" from under the passenger seat. is it one or both!!? mellow.gif

well it COULD be 2 things from my own experiences..the "dragging" of acceleration could be the Optispark (distributor). Very sensitive part on these engines and any tad bit of moisture in there can make a worlds difference on how the car runs. And the "thud" could be the transmission mount is busted. is the car an auto or manual? is its a manual, when u hit teh gas down, if its the mount you should see the shifter rise up inside the car.

well i checked tha transmission fluid. little bit clear mostly black. i was thinking tha tranny filter cuz tha gears seem to be slipping. i floor the gas pedal, the RPM hits 5,000 and it barely shifts into 2nd (20mph). about 2 weeks ago she stalled on me when i made a right turn gave er some gas. i remember reading someone else on here having the same problem. sad.gif
