I have a 95 Formula and am considering putting in springs from a 2001 TransAm WS6. Would it be worth the effort? Will those springs lower my car? I can get these springs cheap that is why Im asking. Thanks

Don't waste your time with the `01+ WS6 springs as they are the same as `98-02 standard Formula/Trans Am springs.
In mid 2000 GM ceased production of the 1LE option therefore eliminating the springs that came on SS and WS6 cars. So in fact all `01 -02 WS6's just got the 32mm front swaybar slightly revised shock valving and the 17" wheels and tires.

Ok thanks for the info. So if I can find 95-99 WS6 or SS springs used, would that be worth the effort. Will those springs lower my Formula a little bit. Like no more than 1in?

No the 1LE springs do not lower the cars. They are same height but with a firmer rate

Oh well it was worth a shot. I picked up a set of used sway bars 34/21mm and was hoping to pick up a set of used springs too. I currently have AGX's and SFC's. Those 2 items alone made a huge difference. I think Im going to trim a little off of each spring and get a 1/2in drop. I know that is not the best way to go but Im on a budget. Thanks for all the info!
