C'est la vie or that's life! the Last words from my little brother who drowned in the Gulf of Mexico swimming with friends on 5-13-10. I'm Aaron his older brother or my friends like to call me "Skip" or "Gonz." Well this real life tragedy has led to the beginning of great things, one me going to college, our family becoming alot closer, and the other his 1994 Formula Firebird.
Michael was awarded this car from my father for his acceptance to college. He has done a few things to the car since he started school 3 years ago. These include a short throw shifter, stage 2 clutch, slp cold air intake, vintage 17x9 "D" spoke gunmetal rims with some nice rubber. He wanted to go somwhere with this car that is for sure. So, here I am, now I'm going to finish it.
I really don't know too much about this car, I know it's a 350 lt1 with a t56 six speed, I also know it's a 1994 with 70k miles (not to bad I know) I don't know the hp or the tq. I know I am going to do all the work (except exhaust) with the help of my Dad, Sam the youngest brother and Formula Forums.
This F-body car will be our third project car, the others include a 1976 455 t/a 4-speed ( we just sold to a car museum), and a 2006 corvette zo6, all there is to say about this car is it's twin turbo with forged internals, some drivetrain work and 17 lbs of boost. ( she's fast).
I have a few goals set aside for the car. 400 hp and 400 ft/lb tq. ( I hear you always want more tho). Aside from the shelby style rims I want a ram air hood and to lower the car a half inch, other than that I want to keep her a sleeper. I also want a driver in the sence of road handling (autocross, road course racing). But still be able to run a 11 sec 1/4 mile.
Here are a few but mostly all modifications I want to do. (not in order)
- Lt4 conversion.
- heads
- cam
- exhaust
- headers
- intake manifold/ throttle body
- roller motor?
- big breaks ( you gotta stop!)
- supercharger, procharger, or twin turbo. (one of them)
- obd1 tunes?
- nice stereo (this is last for sure)
My name is Aaron, I live in Mobile, Al. I'm 25 years young. I'm from Atlanta originally. I served this great country in the U.S. Army for 3 years as part of the 75th Ranger Regiment and the 74th Long Range Surveillance Detachment.
The difference between successful people and unsuccessful people is successful people know what needs to be done and they do it.
And this build is for Michael.
