Jon, you know what we like. Afterall, you're human like the rest of us (at least thats what Sue keeps telling me) and if you can sit behind these colors day in and day out then it's good for everyone. But, if you would like for all of us to have individual preferences as to what the screen should look like via a 'cookie' or whatever those things are called then we should all have personal preferences for screen colors. Can we actually have/store screen color preferences for each time we log on?

yes.. this will be something I will be doing as well.. you will be able to select a scheme and style from a list and it will be set as a cookie so every time you visit.. it will be remembered and shown.. untill you change it again.. but this will be one of the last things I do.. right now.. I want to make sure that we can all agree on a good color set..

As is for me. But whatever you do, don't do black on white. Ever since gradeschool reading charts it would hurt my eyes and eventually give me headaches. I've always wondered, "why don't they make black charts with white text?" I like the way it is, maybe even a little brighter white test would be better. Just my 2 cents.

I like it the way it is now. Easy to read and easy on the eyes.

on this new format, can we PLEEEEASE upload our own avatars? Allow them to a max 150x150 pixilation, tha'd be SOOOO sweet, every other board I post on allows you to do that... we can PhotoShop out own cars and integrate some neat stuff, as well as put some funny stuff in there every once in a while... Just a thought...

yes.. I really know this. I have kicked around the idea a little..

but also... I believe that this will take away from the theme of the forums..

it really helps when someone is talking about a problem on thee car and they forget to mention what year and the avatar says it...

even if we were only to allow formula theme avatars.. there would be no way of moderating this...

this is something that I will probably not do, becasue it is and always has been a way of identifying the members car... but we wil see down the road if we can rethink this..

on the other hand, it is a great way of offereing a way for members to customize the look and feel and make it feel more personable.. I know where you are coming from.. this is why.. I enabled images in the signature.. its the next best thing.

On the GSFCC board the avatars have to be approved by the site owner. Mainly because you have to send it to him for him to add it. Either that or choose from a selection on the avatar page. They are not too regulated. Unfortunatly because some of them are discusting and distasteful. I would rather not see some of that. One is a cartoon of a fat half naked guy jiggling his fat belly up and down. Grose. I'm sure he thinks he is funny - NOT! Too distracting

Some of us like to check the board during working hours. Large corperations do not allow questionable sites and I'd hate to not be able to see whats going on during the work day. If avatars pertain to automotive theams I would be all for it

As soon as we make this transition.. since the owners list will be a intergral part of the website.. and very stable.. since that will be our photo solution.. then I might take out the option of images in the signatures...

But we will see.. havent seen a bad one yet.. well.. except one.. but it was taken care of...

the avatars will stay as is though..

I would like for there to be a place where we can set our fonts (with a few more font choices) and colors and all and save them to be that way so we dont have to keep setting it each time we post something. Make it simpler without the HTML tags and all. Most people have no idea what they are...unless I'm missing something and theres a way to do that already ...

Ok people heres what I've been thinking about all this. I'm the type of person who notices the little things, like, up at the top here on this post page under "color" for the font you cant even see the purple or blue and the red kinda clashes. If we do a dark bg we need lighter fonts.

Lets see, I think I remember seeing somewhere you'll have a place where we can edit our car's pics and show them off like that. Thats an awesome idea! I probably will never edit mine, but I know alot of people will.

I do love the black bg with the light fonts its sooo much easier on the eyes especially at night when thats the only real time I have to be online. I have night blindness so its much easier on the eyes for me.

About the chat room, my computer wont even connect to it and its totally up to date. If there was a chat room that was a little bigger maybe and could be used by all users that would be wonderful! Theres alot of people I havent been able to just talk to because of that.

Oh, and, about the avatars I would leave them the same as to keep with the theme of the whole thing. Right now thats probably the neatest artistic part of the whole site.

I think maybe the pics in the signatures clashes a bit, maybe if they were off to the right side or something it would look more organized. Gosh I'm full of ideas here. lol I might end up changing the whole site! just kiddin.

All I ask for is something easier to use. It does get a little clashy sometimes and hard to read. I think the forums are perfect though theyre really easy to deal with.

If there was an easier way to deal with our pics of our cars that would be great. And maybe instead of having them separate from our profiles have them actually in our profiles so people know whos is whos in addition to the Owners List part ya know?

Gosh I sound like I'm tryin to take over lol. Im not I promise I'm just full of ideas.

Oh another idea. Instead of adding pics from URLs we need to be able to do it from our saved pics in our computers. Maybe I just dont know how to do that but thats why I havent done that like alot of people.

The new owners list that is coming will be totally intergrated into the forums.. when you click on someones profile. if they have pics.. there will be a link showing where there gallery is located.. and you will be able to upoload the pics from your hard drive like the current version..

the chat will be back in full force.. making it available to all with all setups... there will be even be a whos chatting list in the templates so everyone will know who is in there so no one gets lonely..

I have halted devel;opment on this site.. all my energy is being devoted to the new upgrade..
