Just want to give you guys one last chance to get in on this order before I make it... I can do what I'm doing with LT1bird's order and post it up as a "Buy It Now" auction on eBay if you'd like to do it that way... all I ask is that you pay the eBay fees b/c if I cover those too, I'll be going in the hole on the prices I have quoted TFS members... (set of wheels and tires with eBay and PayPal fees won't run you over $60 extra on the order) But like I said, I reference my wheels as an example, I can sell you the same set of 17" ZO6 Argents for $460 plus shipping... thats A SET... I wish someone would have made me that offer a copule of years ago, I'd jumped all over it.... But thats all the point of this thread is, just letting you know that I'll be calling in his order within the week, and I hope maybe a couple of you others will take advantage of it....

Interested in the rims, but do you have any pictures of them? Also, what kind of tires would come with them, and what do the center caps look like, are they plain or do they have the flags on them? If you have them posted on eBay could you please give me the item number so i could bid on them if I like them. E-mail me back on RicoDeElite@hotmail.com. Thanks

I'm looking at the Camaro SS 10 Spoke wheels(17x9) that SLP has on sale right now for $399, or $899 with Firestone tires. Can you beat that?
MxPx69_1984
Mar 22 2004, 10:37 PM
Since the Camaro SS wheels are the only wheel that my distrubutor buys out of house, rather, does not produce themselves, they are a little bit more... pricing on those go:
Original Camaro SS Wheels:
Specs:
Wheel Size - (17x9) offset 50mm
Bolt Pattern - (5 lug on 4 3/4")
Center Caps: Choose from Chevy Bowtie, SS, Pontiac or Corvette
Silver (Natural): $487.50
Chrome: $950
SLP is selling the painted set for $399.00 + $60 shipping, like you said... I can get em for the above, $487.50 plus $80 shipping... I'd even go down to $450, but thats the best I can do

... sorry man... if you were leaning more toward the vette wheels, ect, I could hook you up w/ a KILLER deal... but SLP has the Take-Off's on lock down with the prices and specials theyt are able to carry.... Hope your purchase works out, whatever you decide! and thanks for the interest!

Can you get close to around $1000, including S&H for 17" SS 10 Spokes(or Z-06) + tires in the 275-40-17(or 285-40-17)? It's $1019 from SLP including S&H. Thanks!

The ZO6's! Yup I can do that!
Specs (Straight 17” Set):
Front/Rear - (17 x 9 1/2) offset 56mm
Bolt Pattern - (5 lug on 4 3/4")
Argent: $460.00
Polished: $560.00
Chrome: $770.00
Tire Option: Falken ZE-512 275/40/ZR17
Add: $542.00
So for a set of the 17x9.5" Argent (which are the gunmetal set that I have... see signature pic) You'd be lookignt at $1002 plus $80 shipping ($1082)... to the best of my knowledge, you cannot get the ZO6's from SLP...

I'd say that anybody looking for SWEET wheels and tires should hop on this purchase. I've been researching and can't find a better deal than $1082 SHIPPED for 4 Z-06 wheels and the Falken ZE-512's! Definitely check out his webshots albums to see just how incredible they look on a 'bird.

Nick,
Is argent also refered to as dark chrome? If so can you get the ZR1 wheels in argent and how much would that cost for 17-9.5 fronts and 17-11 rears? I am very interested in them.
Thanks,
Ben

There is no one on the market, that I have seen, that produces an argent, or 'dark chrome', or gunmetal version of the ZR1, only ZO6 and the Mustang Bullet wheels I resale are available.... this is the pricing I do have on the ZR1's tho, in the sized set which you're asking about...
Corvette ZR-1 WheelsSpecs (Staggered Set):
Front - (17 x 9 1/2) offset 56mm
Rear - (17 x 11) offset 50mm
Bolt Pattern - (5 lug on 4 3/4")
Black: $431.25
Silver (Natural): $558.75
Polished: $558.75
Chrome: $765.00
Tire Option:
· Front: Sumitomo 275/40/17 ZR
· Rear: Sumitomo 315/35/17 ZR
Add: $572.50
Silver is the plain-jane normal wheels coating, it can be shined up, but its as close to what youre looking for... here is a pic....

Shipping is $20/wheel or $20/wheel + mounted and inflated tire... so either way its $80 shipping for a set... Tell me what you think...

Well Nick as much as i hate to say no because you've got some killer prices, i'm gonna have to pass on this one. I really want a set in dark chrome and the ZO6 rims just don't do it for me. Thanks anyways, and if you run across a five star style wheel in dark chrome let me know.
MxPx69_1984
Mar 29 2004, 03:39 AM
thats no problem, but you're probably gona end up having to find some foreign racing wheel, that is unless you want to foot the bill for some FISKE's like this:

lmao, if you want 5-spoke 'dark chrome' wheels, I'd be willing to bet you're drooling right now... but, hehe, you dont even want to know how much those wheels cost! (btw, those are the Fiske Profil 5's in 'race black'

Did you ever check to see if you could get ZR-1 style wheels 2-17"x9.5", +38mm and 2-17"x11", +36.5mm instead of the 56 and 50 mm backspacing?
MxPx69_1984
Mar 29 2004, 05:22 AM
all i can get is what I posted up... j/c, but why do you want the back spacing so shallow anyway? having the 56 and 50 mm backspacing will allow the wheel to tuck better under the car. But regardless, the ZR1's that i get from my wholesaler are, to the besat of my knowledge, exact OE replications built to the origional specs... they have sold hundreds of sets to ppl who have put these ZR1's on their f-bodies w/o insident... so idk what the issue is with what you keep asking about backspacing...

just out of curiousity, if i wanted the black ZR-1 wheels for my 88, what kinda of spacer would i need and/or would they even work, and do you have a picture of those in black by any chance
If I push around some finicials, i may be able to work something out for those
Thanks Nick,

I wasn't trying to disrespect you MxPx69. You have helped me alot. I heard with the 50 mm offset you have to beat on your car to clear 315's. With the 36.5mm you do not. But I believe a cheap set of mr gaskets 7/16 spacers would be close enough. After summer vacation I'm going to have you hook me up with a set of black ones.

Stealth fighter. Blacked out formula.

Apr 5 2004, 10:47 PM
none taken, and that is true for the 17x11" rear wheels w/ 315 width rbber, as I told you before, we dont have to go as far as the 'maros and mask off, cut out, and roll back the inner lip of our rear wheel wells, but you do have ot do a little bid of beating to be able to get the clearence correct... but I have seen those wheels on quite oa fre birds, so it's really not that big of a deal... just let me know when you're ready...

I'll have to look into the Mother's Mag Polish...right now I'm using Meguiars Quick Wax to make them easy to clean/protect from road and brake "gunk." Sometime today hopefully my buddy will send me a pic of the car with the new wheels (we took some pics yesterday). I'll post a link to the pic if I get it.

BTW, if you're in New Mexico, I highly recommend Discount Tire Co. in Rio Rancho for all your tire-mounting needs. I've heard horror stories about scratched up wheels by other "nationwide" automotive service providers (Sears, Big O Tires, etc.), so I asked my 'vette buddies who they trust and they pointed me to the aforementioned store. Not a single added scratch on my polished wheels! I had to clean off a little bit of the protectant they used on the wheels, but it sure beats having to polish out scratches.
