Jon I was wondering if you could make it so that we could read the PM's like we used to be able to in the seperate pop-up notification window that opens. That was a really nice feature before.
Also with the PM's is it possible for you to make it so that we can edit PM's that have been sent but not read by the recipient yet. I know that more then once I've hit the send button only to realize a few minutes later that I forgot to put something in. When that happens I either have to redo a new PM and delete the old one or do another PM altogether just to add that info in.
A all new and improved Pm system is being worked on.. the feature set will have to wait for description..
as for editing an PM AFTER you send it? hehehe.. currently, there is no way I can do that... sorry Sue.. but I believe that this is the first time I ever said that something cannot be done..

Basiclly.. it works like this technically wise..
in the database... everyone has a row in a table... in this row you have all kinds of info like name, userid, avatar, signature, usergroup, post count, and etc...
when you write a PM and send it along to a user.. basiclly, after you hit the send button.. you are just writing a text file to the database and whomever recieves that text file.. it bomes part of that users table row in the DB.. that is how users recieve PM's.
Now lets say for instance you want to change the text in the 'sent' PM? then I would have to 'grant' you write access to that specific user id's row... and then you could change it... but quite frankly.. if i were to allow this.. then what would stop users from deleting content in the DB?
To put it bluntly.. concerning security and a good nights sleep for me.. I cannot allow this feature and the only advice I can suggest is alittle ol fashin proofreading before your index finger clicks that bouse to button to send..

I will keep my eye out on hotmail and yahoo... when they bring this feature into play where you can edit a sent email and then somehow at the sametime not let the reciepient read it untill it has been edited.. then I will find a way to do that here..
keep bringing those ideas though.. no matter how far fetched they might be
