UPDATE: 2/19/05 - Farmington, NC - mid 50's, low humidity - rt. ln.
Ran as soon as I got there after an hour drive, and didn't even drop air from the rear 35psi Firestones. It was my first time at this track so I didn't realize I'd passed the timing building until it was too late to get my slip. The guy in the other lane got it so I checked it out when we spoke, I don't remember all the numbers, but:
Reac: .671
60': 2.009
1/8th: 8.646
MPH: 85.8
Just an 1/8th mile track so that's all I got once again. Well, one more thing, I beat the built 351 mid 80's 'stang in the lt. lane. It was close(his e.t. was in the 8.6s too), but I got a holeshot to lead the whole way!!! It was my only run of the day and my first in several months, at a track anyway

, so I was pleased with my efforts and even more with the car. Just flipped 100,000 miles 5 days before!

Well the track opened up here again for the season. I took the 97 since the 99 is in pieces right now and the 87 my daughter was using.
My 97 had a best slip of 13.88 last year but it averaged around 14.1 (I know, that's slow), but that was with the 2.73 gears in it. This year I've got 3.42 gears and nothing else new so far.
Weather was on the cool side (45* with a strong NW wind). Got a new best with it though.
R/T - .235
60' - 1.939
330' - 5.657
1/8 - 8.741
MPH - 78.95
1000' - 11.44
1/4 - 13.728
MPH - 98.85
Not bad for it's first run with the new gears.
Oh and if it would have been an 1/8 mile track instead of a 1/4 mile track there would be a newer SVT Cobra owner crying in his beer tonight.

I had him until just after that, then he passed me. But he didn't win by much - 12.97 to my 13.72.

Took the 99 for a "shake down" run at the track here. I didn't want to go all out with her since the motor isn't completely broken in yet (only have 1600 miles on it since it all went back together). I can tell she has alot more in her though then what she ran.
On Nittos
R/T - .326
60' - 1.996
330' - 5.498
1/8 mile - 8.341
MPH - 86.66
1000' - 10.811
1/4 mile - 12.900
MPH - 108.22
Now to get my R/T and 60' lower, some ET Streets and get myself used to racing the 99 since I usually run the 97 and I'll be good to go.

That was with a 25MPH headwind. I'll be back to the track soon hunting for 12.0s. The car has trapped at 111.97 so it has a LOT more.

Got a new fastest time on the 97 this past weekend at the drag races at Mooresville Dragway during F-body Motorsports show.
The track there is 1/8th mile:
R/T - .391 (I know that sucks but I'm not used to the tree)
60' - 1.950
1/16th mile - 5.718
1/8th mile - 8.809

Got another new time this week - with my 99. Woo Hoo
Gateway International Raceway, temp 85 degrees, humidity 82%
New tuning on it a week old so I'm still learning and relearning how to drive it - again.

330' - 5.460

MPH - 87.76
1000' - 10.713

New best for me. But it cost me, broke out big time one race away from the semi finals Friday night. Dialed in on a 13.15.
13.018 @ 107, 2.030 60ft, .033 R/T.
I'm shooting for a 12 before the season ends.

Then it's on to 11.5 next year. That is the ultimate goal. 5177 kit, headers, cam, rockers, springs and a converter, that should do it.
