Whats the Skin and Languages thing supposed to be? And are we not going to have a chat room anymore? Also, are we going to be able to upload our pics instead of doing an online url? Thats why I havent posted mine..

I'm not sure about the skins/language things or uploading pics, but there is a spot where we'll be having a chat room again. Go to the home page and click on community. When the page reopens look under community area and you'll see ShopTalk Chat. That should be what will be the new chat room - unless formula90 has changed it.

I believe the languages are for international users or if by chance you are bi-lingual like me. The skins, I have no idea other than possibly a different layout?

ok.. all rolled into one..

there will be no choice for skins for the unforeseen future. When I do a new skin.. it will be called TFS Lite which will be for users on a real slow connection and that the skin is optimized for these connections.. no images, or eye candy... just text and colors with alot of style..

The international languages will not be used as well.. untill I can get it to span accoss the whole website.. so.. I hope you feel you are not at a loss for this.. If there seems like we should become a multi language community.. then we will go from there.. but I dont see it happening becasue how are we supposed to reply to a post that we cannot understand the posts will not be converted.. just the words that are part of the website.. it is not some sort of translater.. but a layer that is changaable so the software can be portable.. I hope this makes sense..

The Chatroom... we are indeed getting new chat software.. as I am being real picky this time looking around the net for solutions that will fit my setup and is easily etendable to match the was that I need it to be. I have a solution that I will more than likely go with...

and about posting pics..

Ok. When the owners list goes live.. you will be able to unload pictures of your car from your harddrive to my webserver where this website is located. then you will have a gallery for others to view.

If you are merly trying to post up a pic of your car for your signature... you have several options..

goto www.cardomain.com and setup a account. Then upload your pictures there. Then, use the url button to link to that image in your signature... it is pretty simple.. I will make a sticky thread in the open discussion forum detailling exactly how to do this... .. I know you have been wanting to post a newer pic of your car.. however you were able to post the last one.. delete it from wherever it is.. and replace it with your new one... pretty simple.. let me know if i can help you further in this matter...

Actually I was unable to post a pic that was small enough. It ended up filling up the whole page when I posted it so thats why I sent it to you for you to post it. Maybe it was just huge on my end but, oh well it doesnt matter. Its ok.

goto www.gifworks.com and use that to resize your image... then reupload it and you will be good.. just play with it untill you like it.. believe me when I say this Sarah.. you just cant give upo easily with this kinda stuff.. I should not have too much hair left after this site is back to normal....

or a simple graphics program can do it as well.. and alot better.. but since it is for use on the web.. i am sure it will be ok...

What he's talking about is the members list. On the other board there used to be a spot at the top that said "MEMBERS".

RAMZ you can still do a members search, it's just a little different on how you get to the list now. Go to the bottom of the forum page. You'll see Overall Top 10 Posters. Click on that and the list will come up with the search feature at the bottom of that page.
