Now i know that the cam i am running is way to aggresive for my setup but i only wanted to change the cam once so... Wednesday night i went to the local track and i ran a 14.322 as my best time at 98 mph. I am going to be ordering the headers shortly and a 2800 rpm stall converter and some 3:73's to go with it got the 1.6's today so those will be going in soon. What I am trying to figure out is should this car be running faster than it is with just that cam. right now i can leave the line with my foot to the floor on street tires and it just chirps the tires but spins hard shifting into second. It was high school night at the track so everybody was there with there honda's but they respect the V8's the only car i lost to was a new z06 which pulled me ou t of the hole but was pretty even on the topend he ran a 13.1 at 102 so i am thinking the gears and the converter will help greatly. any other suggestions would be appreciated and are welcome.

Most LT1's are very strong on the bottom end. If you can mash it to the floor and not peel the tires off then the cam is to much for the stock convertor. A stall and gears will definitly drop your e.t.'s.

Heck I would be happy with those times. Beats the pants off my 15.1.
