How come some people have higher mph and slower et. Someone told me ET was torque and MPH was horsepower. Any thoughts.

MPH is a good indicator of HP.
There are a lot of variables to ET's traction being the biggest one.
60 ft times are reflections of Torque and Traction. cool.gif

well, I agree with the above but there is also more to it. 2 cars can leave with the same reaction time, and no wheel spin, and one can win with a slower trap speed. it is a function of low end torque, top end power, and actually aerodynamics.

But yes trap speed usually is an indicator of HP.

for example: my 60' and my trap speed greatly increased with different heads, and intake, but my ET only got a tenth and a half better! I picked up almost 5MPH in trap speed.
