wednesday night i took her to the track after going through the tranny and installing a 2800 stall converter (wow what a difference) It ran a 13.9@99.8mph with a 2.0 60' time it spun some off the line and chirped the tires everytime i shifted next step is some 3:73's and to replace the stock manifolds with some long tube headers.

Did the convertor fix the bog? Or was it the programming?
FastLT1
Congrats. Did you gain .4 from just the convertor alone?
Doug
.4 from a converter swap is not unusual. I gained almost .6 with the 2800-3000 stall. with the 3.73's wheel spin will be greater. Do you have aftermarket control arms? I would do them and a lighter stronger torque arm. it will help you alot.

just the converter gave me .5 and yes the converter fixed the bog i am running stock suspension right now so i know there is more to be found hopefully the gears will help out alot too my trap rpm is like 4700-4800 the motor really pulls above 5800 i shift at 6800-6900

Did the convertor just help launch?

yeah and the tranny rebuil i put in a raptor tranny and when i shift now it shifts there is no lag or motor "flash" between gears I was running 2.4-2.5 60' times before now i am running mid 2.0 60' times consistently the motor still bogs a little bit but the gears should take care of that i hope along with the headers
