Well, I finally went to dyno my car this past Saturday, to see what she had. We got in three runs, and the best she mustered was 230 rwhp with 267 ft lbs of torque, but for some reason she decided she would start running rich while on the dyno. Well, everyone there knew that there was more in that engine, and we decided to go and start getting more out of her. Can't remember the guy's name, but one of the guy's from PCMforless was there. He hooked up to my computer and we started going through it, and he was making changes, and we were ready to do another run, and the dyno decided to start messing up. It wouldn't record any numbers. Actually I think it was the computer and not the dyno itself. Well, we tried again and again, and when the dyno finally started working, the cable connecting his laptop to my computer developed a short, so it was really going crazy then. So we put the hypertech chip back in, and called it a day. Anyway, the only good thing that came out of it was to know that at 5500 rpm, there was still enough airflow to make good power. I really got to see were the stock cam tops out in the rpm range, but saw the benefits of the T-Ram when the power did not fall off at 4500 or 5000 rpm. Usually the stock TPI really starts to nose dive after those rpms. While 230 is nothing to get too happy about, and on the way home, I think I felt way the power was so low, and she was running rich, feels like I have a plug that is starting to foul out, but she was making 220 rwhp by 4300 rpm, peaked at 230 rwhp at 4600 rpm, and when they were letting off the gas at 5500 rpm, she was still making 220 rwhp. So, with a new set of plugs, so I don't have any fouling out on me, I'm thinking that my hp numbers should be up a bit from there. I just wish we could have gotten the computer tuning done while I was there. That would have probably brought me up quite a bit, but it may not have mattered with the plugs giving problems.
